Artistic Director
Lee Gershuny, Ph.D., founder/Artistic Director of The Elements, is the
writer, director and occasional performer in all The Elements'
productions. She has been developing and introducing innovative
collaborative theatre not only with The Elements, but also with a
diversity of participants of all ages and experience in England, Germany,
Mexico, Poland, Scotland and the USA.
Resident in Scotland since 1988, she is a founding member of the Research
Society of Process-oriented Psychology (RSPOP/UK) and a director of the
Edinburgh based Foundation for Community Leadership Development (FCLD),
where she designed and led workshops in creative leadership and conflict
facilitation.

An award-winning scholar, she taught literature, writing and women's
studies for over 20 years in secondary schools, colleges and universities
in the USA.
As Leeala, her nom-de-plume, she is an internationally published poet and
award-winning playwright in both the UK and USA. Inspired by her writing,
dancers, musicians and visual artists have created new work. She is
presently collaborating with a visual artist who has incorporated her
poetry into his digital film exhibitions in both Australia and the USA |
